Each Situation Is Unique: Prior to the start of care, Home Aides of Rockand, Inc., provides a free, in-home assessment to address all of your home care needs. There is no fee for this service. An experienced home care nurse will develop an individualized plan of care in consultation with you (and other family members if you wish), as well as your physician and other relevant members of your health care team, developing a plan that is tailored just for your needs. Once the care plan is developed, a skilled and caring aide or companion will be assigned who best meets your specific requirements.
Home Health Care
A professionally trained and supervised aide will be assigned to assist you according to your individualized care plan. Depending upon a your needs, your care might include assistance with bathing, grooming or dressing; preparation and serving of meals; assistance with walking, or moving from bed to chair or wheelchair, or with the use of toilets or bedpans.
Care may include accompanying you to a medical or other appointment. It may involve checking your vital signs, assisting with physical therapy, and monitoring and reporting changes in your condition to the supervising nurse.
If your plan calls for environmental care it may include changing bed linens, doing personal laundry, dusting and vacuuming your sleeping area, or tidying the kitchen and bathroom. We can even go grocery shopping for you (or with you) and help with managing bills and budgets, if necessary.
Whatever your care needs, you can be assured that your home healthcare services will be delivered with respect for your dignity, privacy and safety.

In-Home Safety Assessment
The number one risk for seniors is a fall, which can have devastating effects. Free of charge when there is a senior in the home (aged 65 and older), the In-Home Safety Assessment Program is conducted by an experienced home care nurse. A copy of the findings is provided to the senior in residence, with recommendations. Live-In Service
When you or a loved one are coping with a debilitating illness or some form of dementia where staying alone is not a safe option, consider live-in services. Families often struggle with how to care for family members in this situation, hoping that it will be possible to remain in known and comfortable surroundings. Having a live-in aide allows you or your loved one to age in place and adds a level of freedom from the typical daily responsibilities for the family. Having a live-in aide can give the family peace-of-mind.
A Nurse Manager initiates care, establishing a care plan suited to the client’s needs. A Nurse Supervisor makes home visits to ensure quality care. A successful placement is enhanced by carefully matching the aide’s skills to the particular needs of the client and with sensitivity to the client’s personality.
Live-in service is available for respite, and short and long-term situations.
