The Joint Commission is an organization that provides accreditation services to health care organizations.  The Joint Commission conducts unannounced accreditation surveys of Home Aides of Rockland, Inc.  The purpose of the surveys is to evaluate the organization’s compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards.  The survey results are used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded to the organization.  Joint Commission standards deal with organization quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided.

If you have any concerns or questions about the quality of care or safety provided by this agency, please contact the agency administrator:  Cecilia Halverson at 845-634-2024.   If your concerns regarding quality of care or safety have not been addressed by Home Aides of Rockland, you may forward your complaint to Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) or other federal or state agencies having oversight responsibilities for health care organizations.  If your concerns cannot be resolved through the agency, you are encouraged to contact the Joint Commission.

The public may contact the Joint Commission’s Office of Quality Monitoring to report concerns or register complaints about a Joint Commission-accredited health care organization by using one of the following options:
